About Laundry Choice
Laundry Choice publishes washer and dryer reviews written from the manufacturer’s own published specifications and documentation. We do not physically test washers or dryers, and every review says so.
What this site is
A washer or dryer listing gives you a capacity in cubic feet or pounds, a spin speed, a list of cycles, an energy figure, a voltage and a set of dimensions, and leaves you to work out whether any of it matters for your laundry. The reviews here take one model at a time and read those numbers for what they imply: whether a 1.6-cubic-foot portable washer takes a duvet cover, whether a ventless dryer means no builder or simply a longer cycle, whether a 240-volt dryer can go where a 120-volt socket is.
The site covers washing machines, portable washers, clothes dryers and portable dryers washers and dryers. Each review sits in one of those categories, and the categories are what the navigation is built around.
What we do not do
We do not run test loads, measure how much water a cycle uses, time a dry or check how wrinkled a shirt comes out. No washer or dryer described here has done a load for us. A review on this site is a reading of what the manufacturer publishes, written for someone deciding whether that model fits their home and their laundry, and we would rather say that plainly than imply hands-on experience we do not have.
We do not publish star ratings, review counts, or exact prices. Where a manufacturer has not published a specification, a review says so instead of guessing.
Who writes this
Brandon Hayes, Editor, is the byline on every review. Brandon is an editorial name rather than a person you could look up, and we would rather say so than let a fabricated biography do work it has not earned. There are no trade credentials behind it, and there should not be: a site that states on every page that it does not test washers and dryers has no business presenting an expert as its author.
What stands behind a review is the method, which is written down, and the manufacturer’s published figures, which you can check.
What changed in 2026
For its first year this site reviewed whatever appeared under a washer or dryer search, which meant heating elements, timer knobs, vent kits and drain hoses were reviewed alongside the machines they fit. In September 2026 we went through all 108 pages and removed 18 from search — heating elements, timer knobs, lint traps, indoor vent kits, drive belts, drain hoses, door props, a cover mat and a food dehydrator. The 90 pages that remain are washers and dryers. The removed pages still exist for anyone who arrives at them, but they are no longer what this site is about and we no longer ask search engines to index them.

- Clothes dryers — A dryer is decided by two things the listing puts near the bottom: whether it needs a vent to the outside, and what voltage it runs on.

Corrections
If a specification in a review is wrong — the manufacturer restated it, the listing changed, or we misread it — it is worth more to us to know than to look right. The contact page says what makes a correction actionable.
